Bit faded above ground but beautiful caves, well lit with English and Portuguese guides. Highlight is definitely the lit fountains at the end. Well worth a visit.

Nice trip with a guide. Interesting and worth to be seen. The guide explained everything in english. I would recommend to travel far just to visit caves but if you are somewhere close it's an enjoyable experience.

The caves are well worth a visit and although the guide's commentary was in Portuguese (it is Portugal after all!) the introductory video had English subtitles and explained the history of the caves and their discovery well. Wear good footwear as the 600+ steps can...More

Really wonderful to see. Be careful if you only speak English, the tour is not always given in English and you have to ask, but they were very accomodating, so it's all good.

I visited the caves following a visit to Fatima. The caves are close by which makes it very convenient to do both. The cost to visit is 6.90 euro for an adult. There are also child rates. Our guide spoke in Portuguese and English. The...More

Hello, sorry for the late reply, we have had a lot of school groups these days. There is an agency in Alcobaça that has groups to Lisbon, Fatima, the caves and the monasteries.
