Windansea Beach is a less-crowded area of La Jolla. If all you are looking for is a good ocean-view walk, come here. Plenty of parking on side streets.

This is a different kind of small rocky beach and has lots of surfers. Not really a swimming beach. The only minus to this experience is the lack of parking. It is a challenge to find a spot in this residential area.

Just like taking the kids to Disney, this is a place to take them when they're teens. Also visited Chula vista where we got a hotel and Coronado island where we enjoyd a nice sushi and drinks.

My favorite beach in San diego. I love to watch the surfers and the sun go down. The sunsets at this location is amazing. Have your camera ready. This beach can get busy sometimes but most of the time its pretty chill.

Great beach convenient to our rental property. Some large rocks but that only adds to the visual appeal of this less frequented beach in La Jolla. The surfing is apparently very good as well if that is what you are into.

Absolutely gorgeous beach that can get quite crowded in the summer. When you go in the waves, watch for surfers. And plan to park quite a few blocks away. Enjoy!

Loved this spot in La Jolla. The rocks make for interesting topography and private places to sunbathe comfortably. Fewer children, so not so hectic as many of the state parks can be. Easy walk up the hill to amenities like a Mexican restaurant, a coffee...More

Love, love, love this beach! Much larger, more surfers and way easier parking! The rocky coast makes the sunsets much more beautiful!

Yes!!! Bring a towel to sit on. Parking can be difficult especially in the summer. Note: anything glass is outlawed from all the beaches (including wine bottles/glasses). Also, Windansea is a fairly ‘primitive’ beach (no... More
