Small island in the middle of the salt lake. Entrance fee is 30BOB. There is a short hiking path to the top. There you will enjoy a beautiful 360 view. The stop here is part of the Uyuni salt tour.

Be prepared for some steep inclines. Take your time hiking up for the view. The altitude is the challenge. We did see some people really struggling - so take it slow. It is so worth the exertion to reach to top and look out over...More

Located in the Salar of Uyuni, the cactus island is a mythical place. Arriving there, you directly see these old and huge cactus, creating a very unique atmosphere. You can walk up the hill on the island for 30BOB, which I would strongly recommend you...More

You need good hiking shoes and strong legs to climb up the hill. Once, you reach the top. The views are great. There are bathrooms but you need to pay the entrance fee to use them.

This is the main island on the salt flats to visit. Takes about an hour to walk around and see the amazing views and the cactus, some of which we were told were 1000 years old. We happened to be there when an event was...More

We watched the sunrise here over breakfast and it’s cold but nice! The island is scattered with cactus and there is no drone flying! Worth the trip out! It’s a nice view over the salt flats

Fun and cool place to have a short hike through the huge cactus. And learning some information from the guide that we have. I recommend to use sunscreen, hats, sunglasses as the heat of the sun can be quite unforgiving.

Amazing giant cactus in middle of the salt flat desert. There is a trail to walk thru for a quick view of the salt flat and see cactus around. No too difficult to walk but does get windy at the top. Make sure you have...More

Really cool place after you learn the history. We also did a short (30 min) hike to the top, which isn't really necessary. You can enjoy the same views of the flats by only going a little ways up.
