Definitely a must do. We stayed on the French side by Orient Bay and was on the fence on whether or not to go to Maho. I'm so glad we went. Seeing the planes come over your head was pretty cool but the planes taking...More

American tourists are really using this beach as a dump! Drunk cruise tourists throwing their beer buckets between the rocks to get rid off them so they can get their shuttle back to the cruiseschip 🛳... littering the place laughing about it... really pissed me...More

We have visited this beach several times, and every time, it has been an excellent time. It used to be a great beach, with a lot of room, chairs, an airplanes. This year, well we were disapointed. There is only a small beach left. Where...More

The water was warm, but the waves were rough and it seemed easy to get hurt due to the proximity of some large rock formations and the big wall that keeps the water from going up and over into the resorts/airport! No place to throw...More

Of course this beach is very small, but clean, witH nice fine sand and of course quite unique if your concept of nice beach includes landing heavy airliners a few feet above your head! Quite a bit of fun.

This was a stop as a part of my tour of St. Maarten. It is a Beautiful beach! The water was clear and warm. It was cool seeing the planes fly overhead.

The beach is clean, the water warm and the planes coming right over your head are awesome. A nice little bar at the beach so you don't get thirsty.

The sand is very fine - the water is clear & warm - the view of the Caribbean is gorgeous - but I don’t know anyplace where you can almost touch the planes as they land at the St Martin Airport!

This is a great spot to snap photos of planes literally landing over your heads. It can get a bit crowded. The waves were pretty big so this wasn’t really a “chill in the water” kind of spot.

You are better off on your own and go to Maho Beach, if you want to experience the planes landing and taking off. This experience only happens on Maho Beach. The beach itself is not that good to me. There are better beaches... More

Yes, we used our iPhones too and we got some great shots/video. I also used a GoPro and as others have said, you don't really need a zoom!

I was there last March. I don’t recall the rocks being a big problem.
