This canyon is a short distance off highway 1 and well worth a visit. It is on a very pot holed road but don’t panic, it is not an F road so your rental car is Ok (but do not take the Laki turn to...More

It's a short hike for an incredible view. At the top, not only do you see the canyon but you also see where waterfalls meet.

Wow. We went on a day with fog however the canyon was clear. A short walk up hill gets you some very stunning views of the canyon. It was definitely worth the drive from the main road. Definitely stop here if you are driving through.It...More

We made a quick stop here to check out the view. Sad we couldn't hike down the entire canyon but it was still beautiful from up top.

We were utterly flummoxed by the pure beauty and magic of this spot! One of the highlights of our trip. Truly a natural wonder with the most beautiful foliage and bubbling waterfalls. Looks like elves and fairies live here, truly.

Fjadrargljufur Canyon is stunning! Some reviews suggest taking the F road to the top car park to avoid going up steps, but if you have a rental car I suggest you park in the lower car park as going on an F road may void...More

If you are into nature, incredible landscapes, rivers, and waterfalls, you can't miss this place. Maybe the best attraction we visited during our stay. The sheep were cute as well :) We visited in late september and there was some rain and wind, temperatures around...More

A lovely climb up the canyon. Glorious views of the valley below. Be sure to go the whole way to the top for a view of the waterfalls. The path is marked and is roped. The climb is easy.

We went to this place last month and this canyon was beautiful and a really nice short hike. There were a lot of tourists as you'd expect but if you are able to get an accommodation nearby try and go either a little earlier (before...More

This canyon with a crazy hard to spell and pronounce name was one of the highlights of an epic trip to southern Iceland. It’s only a mile or so off the ring road and it’s free and the paths are smooth and easy to navigate,...More

Patricia- Our tour group was let off at the upper parking lot and walked down to the lower one - easily done in 30 minutes or so (add ten for more photo stops). Jens is correct - no walking allowed in the valley itself... More

Fjadrarglijufur Canyon is only 100 metres in length, so I am not sure what you mean by a Super Jeep tour of it. In addition, you are no longer allowed to walk through it. The canyon is not at Kirkjubaejarklaustur. From... More
