We really enjoyed our time at Myvatn Nature Baths. It is not as fancy as the Blue Lagoon but it definitely is less crowded (more relaxing?) and cheaper. It has two large pools and one small super hot tub. It also has a couple of...More

We did the Nature baths after a long day of hiking and it was really quite relaxing. We hadn't yet done The Blue Lagoon so it was our first bath and we loved it. It wasn't very crowded and we ended up staying a bit...More

Wonderful spot to relax and enjoy the scenery. A natural hot water bath, that was not overcrowded so you could actually float, relax and enjoy what Mother Nature helped create

Not as glitzy or expensive as the Blue Lagoon, this might be the best thermal bath in Iceland. There are two big pools with a nice sandy bottom. There is no silica but a slightly sulfuric smell. The bathhouse itself is very clean.

For my group and I, Myvatn baths have been a warm comfort after a freezing morning spent on a boat. The area is not as big as the more famous Blue Lagoon’s, but the atmosphere is nice and the service is good. In particular, I...More

We visited North Iceland as well as Reykjavik and decided to partake in this attraction instead of the Blue Lagoon which is much more expensive and busier. This nature bath is well equipped and very relaxing. The natural water is so hot that cold has...More

Our daughter had been to the Blue Lagoon and thought it was to busy so she took me to the nature baths. It was so nice and very relaxing. We had our own towels so that saved a little and I was over 65 and...More

This was exactly what we needed after several days of tramping about in rainy, windy weather. We didn't bother with the main pool because we wanted HEAT and stayed at the smaller side pool where the hot water was coming in. There were some little...More

My advice is to go to Akureyri and use it as a base to explore Myvatn Lake area and the Trollaskagi Penisula.

I'm not sure, we just paid via kronas. Iceland is somewhat expensive but this location was not over the top in what they were charging.
