We visited this village while on an Alaskan cruise. It is well worth the trip! Had the chance to wander around, great guide, and check out the gift shop.

This was one of the many highlights to our vacation! Amazing culture and great learning experience. If you don’t visit the Saxman Native Village while in Southeast Alaska it’s your loss!

While there are some interesting totems here. We had a much better experience at. The totem bight state park and the neighboring potlatch totem park. They had more information and a less touristy feeling

We were in Ketchikan on a cruise and went to see the village as part of an excursion tour. The stories of the totem poles and their history were very interesting.

At the time I visited, at the end of the season, there was only one person on duty to answer questions. During the summer, I think there might be more guides on site, especially for the lodge.

Sorry I was on a trip there with the cruise ship but think it might have been about 15 dollers on the gate
