I had expected something a bit more interesting but really this is just a recreation of old style lanes with expensive shops and tourist focussed eateries. Worth a walk around but or visiting for dinner but otherwise there are more interesting places
The French concession area of Shanghai is a quirky collection of shops and bars in some very narrow streets. It had a vibe similar to London’s Camden in that everyone was welcome, no matter how different you maybe. Well worth a look to check out!
The French Concession is a wonderful area to visit. The old architecture of the buildings is worth seeing. The narrow alleyways are filled with great shops, food vendors, and restaurants! You can easily spend half a day here enjoying yourself.
