I prefer the layout of bejing 798 and the vibe at taipei art district in the city centre. But for art lovers like myself, you will still appreciate. There's quality art, and some of the artists were at work. I had a very good coffee...More

Well done to the visionary who turned old textile factories into this vibrant art space and creative exploration spot. There is something interesting around each corner - including information on the original buildings. If I lived in shanghai and had money I would definitely come...More

Spend an afternoon or more there everytime I visit Shanghai. There are always artists who work or show there, ready to share their experience and ideas. Ive been welcomed to a number of studios, careful not to get in the way. The art is leading...More

Anyone who enjoys modern art will love the M-50 area. It's full of art shops and exhibition spaces. Nobody requires you to buy anything and you can spend several hours walking through the exhibit spaces, talking to the artists and their representatives. There's the full...More

Difficult to find and reach the place. Not attractive at all and not busy. Difficult to understand the point of it for tourists. They should make it more attractive for people.

Most of the quality galleries are now located on the West Bund, or elsewhere in Puxi. There are probably no more than 2 or 3 quality galleries left in M50 - despite having probably more than 50 galleries. Shanghart, 55, and Antenna Space are all...More

A bit of a (pleasant) walk from the subway - but a place to discover artist studios and galleries, some small boutiques. Bring some time + a sense of adventure. You can also walk along the river (partially a promenade) to or from M50.

As others have said, yes. It's about 10-15 minutes from the Central Train Station. It's a nice walk over the Suzhou river.

Agreed, no ticket needed. But you have to get there, and it's a bit out of the way, so there's a time investment, even if there's no fee.
