this might be a tourist attraction, but it is also a temple where local people go to pray and do their Buddhist kinds of stuff. I highly recommend you, it is less crowded that the Lama Temple in Beijing, also smaller.
Many temples in shanghai. None are particularly better than the others. Make sure to see one though and this one isnt bad
We went on a Sunday and it was packed. Having so many people there added to the wonderful experience. Longhua is the largest Buddhist Temple in Shanghai, and the buildings are worthwhile seeing, as well as experiencing. There is a restaurant on the grounds and that too…
We enjoyed our visit to this temple. Was informative and spiritual as well. The history is unparrelled and the location convenient. Stroll the grounds.
Outside the temple is a "park." A place to walk around and see monuments and learn some history. I recommend a using a guide.
