We organised our tour through Belly's Watering Hole in Vung Tau, and aren't we glad we did. We had 2 Australian guides who were very informative and great blokes to boot. We were fortunate enough to have 3 Vietnam Vets on the tour with us...More

What more can I say? I knew this was goibg to be something special and I'm say glad I was too young to be involved. Walking down the path to the Cross proved to be very emotional, almost in tears by the time we got...More

Take a tour with the VVFCF, based at Belly's Bar. The cost is minimal and all funds go to the fund to assist the Children and underpriveledged. The tour is very informative and informal and extremely enjoyable.

Its about 30 klms from Vung Tau and best done with an experienced guide. Someone who knows the area can also point out other points of interest. Its on private property inside a banana plantation and exists only because of the owner's generosity. So treat...More

Holds an important and significant place in Australian military history, and to a lesser degree for the New Zealand army, being the site for a famous battle against the odds. I won't pretend to give a history lesson here and highly recommend the Australian War...More

You may need some assistance finding this spot. Take one of the tours from Vung Tau, a couple of good operators you can find through Matildas, Bellies or Ned Kelly bar.

I have been on two occassions now is not as good as, the first time but anyone that served or family members of those that served it is quite meaningful as a lot of young Australians lost their lives on that bit of soil

Being a Veteran, this is one place I visit every time I am in the country. In fact every month in Vung Tau I visit . The one and only Australian memorial on communist soil.

Knowing some of the histbory of the Battle of Long Tan and the non acceptance of this battle by most Australians, we just had to go and have a look. It was awe inspiring and truly moving. A must visit landmark for all Australians

Visited here with family and Vietnamese family in law. Very moving place, now peaceful but the memories of those who fought here still remains. Essential for Aussies to visit and understand what our Vets went through.

I didn't book with anyone. I served here during the Vietnam War and have been back several times, so I know my way around. However, if you Google "Long Tan Tours" you will find many operators. The best ones operate out... More
