The volcanic landscape is extraordinary. They are remote and it worth remembering that they are at high altitudes. You should acclimatise before visiting.

Very beautiful place, different than any other place I’ve been before. Try a swim at the thermal pool!

Very early (03:15 AM) pick up. Bumpy journey along terrible roads. Arrival at check point before dawn. -30 temperature & 4200+ altitude.... But without any hesitation I would do it all over again. Collection of thermal geysers all steaming and spitting into the air. Looking...More

There aren’t many Geyser around and this is one of the largest. A must go in San Pedro de Atacama. I just can’t understand the need to get there at 6:30 AM. Too cold and dark. We had to wake up 4:00 AM. We still...More

We were up at 5am and left San Pedro for the 2 hr drive to the geysers. It was freezing cold when we arrived but soon walked up as the sun rose. The Geysers are spectacular and are a must see

The El Tatio geysers are absolutely stunning especially when viewed i the early morning and accompanied by a beautiful sunrise. The geyser plumes rise high into the air against a stunning backdrop. The admission is around $20 USD and is well worth it. There are...More

Visiting the geysers in the early morning is almost like going to the set of a sci fi movie. Such spectacular and unusual scenery. Not to be missed.

I recommend. Far and very cold (-10ºC) but a beautiful and interesting place. You can swim if you are brave enough.

Is the most breathtaking scenery of geysers I've ever seen. I recommend you to wear very warming clothes and a swimming suit because you take a bath in a thermal pool.

You can drive close to most of the geysers so one must walk for about five minutes or about 100-200 yards as I recall to be at the geysers. However most of them can also be seen from further away so one not need to walk... More
