Visited 17th Sept 2019 Rented a car from Santiago and drove here, the drive is quite challenging as the road close to the attraction is narrow and close to the edge of the cliff. We went on a sunny and clear day, and had to...More

It’s a large water reservoir, up the mountains, made of spring water. The trip from Santiago to it is not really pleasant, but it worth it. The place is calm and full of peace, the water body is gorgeous, surrounded by mountains. Great for walking...More

The place is very beautiful, you can walk around, enjoy the views, take photos and relax. I made it on a tour from Santiago but you can do it by car, just download the map, drive safe and you will be good.

The embalse dam is closed from June 2019 as two Brazilian children died there as some rocks rolls and hit them. I don’t know when it will be opened but I think next year or it never open again sooner.

The best thing for us about visiting this place is not only being there seeing the incredible Turquoise Blue water, or to fight the strong wind, or to feel the fresh air at high elevation, BUT... actually is the ride on winding mountain passes approaching...More

Okay, so this place is beautiful. You do not need a tour guide to get there. The road upon arrival is scary, very narrow, so be mindful.

If you are in Chile this is a must see! Only a few hours from Santiago, there are plenty of tour operators who can take you there at a good, fair price. The journey is an adventure of dirt roads with single access ways. But...More

It depends on how far police let you drive and or if it is snowy on the day. The hike is not far if police block final stretch.

It would be the end of summer, the beginning of autumn, so the weather would probably be quite nice!
