A pleasant walk that includes a covered corridor which has market stalls selling hand made souvenirs etc. The temple is amid 1054 pagodas - spectacular, and the views out over the Inle district are breathtaking.

Nice market and awesome stupas, some of them fully covered by vegetation. The access by boat is impressive.

We made agreement with our boat driver to visit just this place (and also see fisherman and floating garden along the way) and skip all the classic tourist trap selling stops. Getting there is half the fun, although the journey is pretty long, the last...More

This village is a bit further up the river than most of the tours go so we had to pay our boatman a bit more to get here but it was well worth it. The trip up the river was fascinating watching the world go...More

This was another fascinating place on our tour of the Inle Lake. We arrived by boat and then walked around and up to where the majority of the Pagodas are. There are the new ones some under construction, some finished and the old ones. Some...More

This was an excellent visit, because this was a rare site in Myanmar containing both ruined and restored pagodas side-by-side. The former are interesting, because they impress upon you the history (and are more fun to explore); while the latter are interesting, because they impress...More

This is a combination of restored and unrestored pagodas which you are free to roam around once you get to the pagodas, about 15 minutes walk from the boat dock. In my is these pagodas aren’t as impressive as the Kakku pagodas but you’re not...More

You typically get to Indein or Inthein by boat. It should be included in most day trips on Inle lake. It is interesting - a collection of clustered stupas, many in poor state of repair. However, this attraction compares badly to Kakku which is much...More

Try to use the same boat / guide to bring you there. At the monastery there might be boats available but I can't confirm. Best to check before you get on the lake
