The beaches sort of run together. This section is not much different from the others. Beautiful and everything you might want or need is available.

We stayed here for 10 days as a family of 4 with 2x <10 year olds. The area was safe, even at night, well lit, a reasonable number of decent restaurants (though you can also grab an uber for cheap, so we ate elsewhere >50%...More

As a matter of fact, "Praia do Leme" and "Praia de Copacabana" are exactly the same beach. "Praia do Leme" is just the very beginning of world acclaimed "Praia de Copacabana". Arriving at "Praia de Copacabana", take your left all the way down and you...More

Go to Copacabana beach and face the sea, If you follow the sidewalk to the left, you'll arrive to Leme. Keep walking until you'll arrive to a hill. The neighborhood is usually safe, because there's a military base near this hill. Turn right and follow...More

Leme beach is, in one way, a stretch at the east end of The famous Copacabana beach. However, because it is the other end, there are less cars, less noise and, in a certain way, more security. Some good restaurants around and a flair of...More

As you face the water, Paria de Leme is at the extreme left end of Copacabana beach. It's not quite as crowded. The wide sand is beautiful, and there are enough concession stands. It's amazing that such a lovely Atlantic beach is right at the...More

Leme is connected to Copacabana. It is actually the beginning of it, at far left. It’s much quieter, less crowded, more family environment spot. The waves tend to be gentler because of the big rock, where you can climb and see the entire beach. Great...More

Leme Beach shares the same stretch of sand as Copacabana Beach but would occupy about the last 500/700 metres of that 4 kilometre stretch of beach, from about Posto 1 eastwards. The water looked to be calmer here although there were not a lot of...More

It's connected to Copacabana, but there are more locals and less tourists, which means less people trying to sell you things. The waves are good but dangerous. I prefer this beach over Copacabana.
