Located across the street from the majestic hotel a good place to see the outside of ... the inside is still a working train station.

Really striking exterior... Was glad to have had the chance to view it, having past it in a taxi a few days previous.

Classic Mugul Architecture Station in the Centre of KL. Sadly now replaced by the new Sentral Transport Hub. The Heritage Mamak Restaurant in the Station Buildings is superb! The Ayam Bawang is Tasty & Good!

A great place for lovers of architecture. Wonderful examples of British colonial interpretation of Moorish architecture. Built in the early 1900s and is still a functioning railway station today.

Take your camera! the architecture and views are superb if you are a lover of historic architecture. I found that the outside conditions whether sunny or cloudy skies really affect the looks of the buildings. On a sunny day, the white of the station really...More

We were excited to visit here as the 'visitkl' webpage said there was a heritage rail museum housed in the building, along with the still working station. It's not! We spent ages walking in and out and all around the building trying to find. Staff...More

At the time this railway station was built in 1910 stations in Europe often resembled cathedrals to emphasize the importance of the then ultra-modern new transportation system. Following English tradition Hubback, the Liverpool architect tried to do something similar in Malaya, but instead of choosing...More

Well worth a trip to this part of Kuala Lumpur. Historic architecture well maintained. See where the British flag was lowered and independence declared in the same vicinity.

Agreed with Colin for metro... 10 minutes walk from there but instead of walking road side, go through the Mosque grounds... Much nicer, quieter and safer !

You don't need a ticket. The lower level has a restaurant and I think a small hotel. So all you have to do is wander around. We did not find it that interesting but don't take our word for it and have a look around. It will... More
