This shrine has expansive grounds with lots of buildings and pretty pine trees. The bridge in the photo is really impressive in person and a great photo spot! You can get goshuin here as well if you collect those!

As we have been to the shrines in Kyoto, we were not impressed with this one. The red arching bridge is the only highlight. Do make day trips out to Kyoto if you like to visit more beautiful shrines and grounds.

If you only have time to visit 1 shrine, I would recommend this place. This place is huge and good for pictures. We went during spring and the Sakura were in bloom. It was also not crowded.
