We came to this little shrine on the way to the bamboo forest. Very peaceful place. The wishing stone is the highlight here. A quick 10 minute stop.

On the tourist walk through the western suburb of Saga, you find little Nonomiya. Go up a few steps and admire the crimson painted shrine and the lovely little moss garden. As with most tourists, it's a five minute stop before entering the attractive bamboo...More

It's a small shrine with zen surrounding but in a very pack tourist spot. Try to find some off peak season if you want to enjoy the surrounding more.

This is a small shrine located in the bamboo forest and it is not an elaborate shrine but it does get busy. There's a nice atmosphere at this shinto shrine and with it being surrounded by the bamboo forest makes it a beauty.

Came across a torii gate which means there must be a Shinto shrine inside while walking along the Bamboo Groves of Arashiyama. The shrine though not much famous as the other great Zen or Shinto ones has own famed story to tell.
