The souk itself is interesting to visit but it was practically impossible to walk through because of all the tourists swarming in.

traditional old omani souq with incense, omani laban, perfume, like Oud , and nice location by Saltan Qabos road near the beech

You can go there in the evening and buy some souvenirs, spices and arabian perfumes..some small cafeterias offer drinks and snacks...

Quick visit to souk, mainly frankincense perfumes for sale, some other items available, my wife bought a small bottle of Frankincense perfume for a few dollars, but not a place I would recommend going to for a leisurely look, although a very nice beach nearby.

Unless you are specifically after incense or frankincense, then this is a fairly run of the mill souq, also does a good trade in shawls/scarves/turbans.

We visited the souk just before the Luban cyclone in October. It was interesting to see but it comprises a relatively small collection of shops selling mainly frankincense and the same type of products. Part of the souq resembles a building site as a result...More
