I visited in the summer and it was hot. I stayed at the Kirindy lodge which is an easy access to the forest. In the late afternoon before our night walk, we saw a couple of foosa next to the bungalows. However, there were so...More
We stopped there to see these mammals, apparently very difficult to find out in other natural parks. The noctural visit to see the lemurs met our expectations. However the place is very pricey for what they offer to the customers, Specially the meals...
In addition to my review of the Kirindy Lodge in this private reserve, reiterate that this is an amazing wildlife experience! the viewing of the Fossa (3 of them are quite used to humans and are seen on the campus itself - early morning), the...More
We spent 1 night in the area to visit Kirindy Forest and went on a night walk and day walk. We visited on September 6 and 7, 2019. Kirindy is the only place you can see a Fossa which we did before our walk. There...More
It was really nice to walk around the forest, looking for lemurs. My guide's name was Ferna and he was really cool & knew a lot about Baobabs and Lemurs. The reserve is a really good spot if you wanna see lemurs.
Enjoyed immensely the morning and evening tour. Our guides were excellent. We had the opportunity to see lemurs during the night and many more at arms length during the day as well as a fosa for the first time in my life.

If you are interested in spoting wildlife you should stop a couple of days at Kirindy.
I recommend to arrive there, get some rest during the day and go on the night walk to watch nocturnal animals. Then, the next day you can go on...More

Also we had bad luck with electricity. There is nothing until 6 p.m., but then soon we had to go to the evening tour. After that we had less than half an hour of electricity because of some unknown problem. They gave us a candle and sent us to our cabin. The issue wasn't resolved that day. It is a very remote place, as I said.
