After late lunch on same street, visited the Golden and Eastern halls of this temple complex. Inside are very nice original oversized statues of "Four Emperors" bending at waist in different directions, worth the cost. The 5 story pagoda is also impressive.

Best to buy the ticket which includes the museum also. There are a few buildings to see but really worth it and great for family pictures and history.

.. and went in for a brief visit. I was on a day trip to Nara from Kyoto. The Temple is beautiful, set in a large, open area.

Beautiful temple, very typical and indicative of Japanese religion. It's a monument definitely worth visiting!

We got here late in the day, so only walked around the periphery, but the artistry involved in constructing the buildings is worth many pictures!
