Ryuzu Waterfall is beautiful, but it was not a time for maple season. If maple leaves turned red or orange colors that would be fun. We visited there too early in October to see fully red maple leaves on mountains. Just a few maples have...More

Not the greatest road to get to this spot, but well worth the notion sickness for me!! The autumn colours were looking stunning in mid October which made the waterfall that much more beautiful. They aren’t huge, but it’s a lovely walk along the river...More

After seeing Kegon Falls and Yu-daki Falls this is not as dramatic and not nearly as tall. There is a couple buildings with shops and bathrooms here. If rushed with time then I would just go see Kegan Falls 1st and then Yu-daki Falls. If...More

Great falls along great route when you climb uphill in a natural preserve. Beware of bears and deers!

Not as impressive as Kegon or Yutaki but also a nice place to visit. It is really close to the bus stop so it won't even take much time to go take a look and catch the next bus.

It is certainly worth stopping to walk to the Ruiz falls. This is one of a number of very good stopping off points on the route from Nikko up to Lake Yunoko.

Truly spectacular in winter. Some parts were frozen over but still gushing waters in the middle portions of the waterfalls. Very beautiful, and with a calm still beauty all around the falls. Just a short bus ride from Kegon Falls which is equally spectacular.. A...More

Not as spectacular as Kegon Falls but still beautiful it its own way. It's a much gentler waterfall with more cascades. Many steps along the way though so not that suitable for folks with baby strollers or carrying heavy luggages. I'd recommend paying the visit...More

Ryuzu Waterfall appears much prettier in autumn with colored leaves on both sides of the waterfall. There is a restaurant by the side and tourists can take a rest here. A large car park for coaches is also near to this site and thus there...More

We came here on the 25th of October, full autumn colours were in swing at Ryuzu. If you take the bus it is only a few minutes walk to the waterfall, behind the restaurant next the waterfall there is a small pathway that would be...More
