We had visited before a few years ago but didn't swim. I regretted it so much that I had to plan a second trip back so that I could do it! It was SO worth it. It is just as thrilling as you would expect...More
This is an amazing experience, scary but amazing. The staff are very professional and the food after was lovely, served by friendly staff. It is a good idea to wear water shoes on this activity as you are walking over rocks, you do need to...More
A fabulous experience even if you are not a great swimmer. The boat ride to it is great. A short walk over rocks (need to be careful), then a short swim - trust me it’s not difficult and you could probably walk 90% of it,...More
This activity was completely awesome in every way. I was skeptical, but when we vacation we try to do things that are completely unique to that location, and this experience highly qualifies. A very accurate description of the logistics is contained in another recent review,...More
This is an incredible experience which is completely safe and I would urge anyone traveling to Victoria Falls to absolutely ‘do it’! Several in my party were apprehensive about this but afterward all agreed this was a wonderful experience and that they felt totally safe...More

This was a really exhilarating experience (and much safer than it might appear). The guides do a great job. Also, the lunch after the swim in the Devils pool was excellent. Now, if I had been to the Zimbabwe side of the falls (to see...More
I booked the trip online and was immediately assisted with my booking. I was concerned about being a solo female traveler, but the fantastic guides put me in a group of likeminded travelers. I cannot thank the guides enough for the amazing trip that was...More

You need to be able to swim at least a little bit. The water isn’t very deep, but there is one section on the way to the pool where you have to swim about 10 yards/meters. Also, leaving the pool you have to swim a short distance against the flow of the river. The guides are there to help you, but if you have at least basic swimming ability you will be fine.

As long as you are booking through Tongabezi itself (via email I'm guessing at this point?) we can confirm that you are completely safe. There are a few scammers out there but they go under different names and don't link to our official website.
Unfortunately when the websites go down or there is an issue the only way to safely pay is in fact straight into the Livingstone Island bank account.
We hope you enjoy your experience of Life on the Edge!
