An easy and well signposted distance from popular Side, Seleuceia/Lerbe/Lyrbe is a much underrated archaeological site. Despite the casual descriptions in the guidebooks, even the late, much lamented Blue Guide, Lerbe has one of the very best preserved agoras in all of Turkey. On the...More

After an easy ride up hill from Manavgat, you will reach the city gate of Lyrbe after 25 minutes. There is no entry fee, but is for sure the most breathtaking settlement I have seen in years. Be sure to take your time and wander...More

This site takes some finding but is so worth a visit! Undisturbed, unspoiled and truly amazing. There are no facilities here, no fences and only a couple of information boards. If you are into Roman sites this place is a must.

Untouched and lets you get up close to history, possibly not a trip in flip flops LOL. This place really is one of my favorite ruins I've been to as you can imagine how life was.

Lybre is placed in the moutain forest and it is very interresting but almost didn't recover place. Ancient floor mosaics destroyed without any care. You can remember here words: "Sic transit gloria mundi"
