We went in the 3rd week of September. Since the ghats were submerged the Ganga Aarti took place at a makeshift location on a roof top. The boat operations were temporarily suspended. Do check present status.

The quick darshan is only possible in early morning. The best reasonable shopping area is chock near Vishnath temple.
