From afar the view was cool but when you approach the lake, there’s rubbish everywhere. Sigh. This place is not a village. There are fine restaurants around. Wish it is cleaned and maintained regularly.
Don't miss the boat ride to buddha's statue. The skyline of Hyderabad above the picturesque Hussain Sagar lake has become more colourful with country’s biggest flag fluttering atop a sky-kissing pole at a record height of 88 meters.
The national flag with a gigantic size...More

A trip to Hyderabad is incomplete without a drive along the Hussain Sagar Lake, Hyderabad’s answer to Mumbai’s Marine Drive. The wide street glows like a pearl necklace in the evenings with walkers, hawkers, ice cream carts and all the locals enjoying the
beautiful views of the lake. There are a number of lake-facing restaurants, shops and cafes especially on Eat Street, which overlook the monolithic statue of Gautam Buddha that separates Hyderabad from Secunderabad. Home to a variety of parks and gardens, heritage architectural areas and temples, Hussain Sagar Lake is Hyderabad’s favourite kid-friendly hub in the city.

As far as my knowledge, no parties allowed at statue, you can opt for a private boat and do a party there.Charges will different as per boat size. You can contact boat service provider at lumbini park.
