It's a small square with a lot of trees and a statue of "El Libertador". For some reason the locals like to feed the pigeons who arrive in great numbers as do the persistent street vendors.

This is a beautiful park to take a rest for a couple of minutes on one of the benches. There are no vendors in the plaza and it’s located very close to a coffee shop as well as the historic museum of Cartagena. So it’s...More

Plenty of people, shade and activity. Several museums adjacent. If you are lucky you will catch dancers and other street performers especially in the evening.

You will share this shady plaza with lots of people and pigeons but it's a fun spot and great place to sit for a little while. The locals like to let the pigeons rest on their arms and hands and photo ops abound.

This is central to the old city. Surrounded by the Museum of the Inquisition and Museum of Gold, this is a must see.

Nice little plaza honoring Simon Bolivar. Lots of trees and shady places to sit and rest awhile. Just watch out of the pigeons

We learnt something and we enjoyed our walk there. The warm weather was pleasant and it wasn't too busy.

Pretty neat and shaded plaza, seems like there are native dancers here each evening. Great place for a hot arepa and some cold lemon or lime aide. Great place to check out during the heat of the afternoon.
