About
Pristina’s new cathedral, unofficially named after the famous ethnic Albanian nun, is a welcome addition to city’s skyline. Built in new-renaissance Italianate style, its two campanile towers will reach 70 metres once completed, but building work...more

One of new monuments in Prishtina. Big with coloured mosaic windows. Offers view from belltower where you can get for 1€ by lift. But the walls there are damaged by grafiti of lovers or tourists. No respect to religious stand.

The view from the tower is great and only costs 1 Euro to go up it (via a lift) It is well worth it. The interior is very white, with not much design.. stain glass windows are very nice. Visit here for the views from...More

The stained glass windows were very interesting but otherwise this just a large, modern church without warmth or atmosphere.

Awesome view of the town. I’d suggest going up at sunset and it only costs 1 euro. Only downside is you can’t use your ticket twice.

I was to the Mother Teresa Cathedral, which really is huge, but many Albanians think that the Cathedral is too big and not necessary in Pristina, because Albanians are mostly Muslims, not Catholics. But the Cathedral is very nice inside. Mother Teresa was an Albanian...More

The stained-glass windows, anyway. Which is no bad thing in and of itself, but it does make it something of a vanity project. It's quite a pretty church all the same, although a few of the aforementioned windows are a bit much, and the unfinished...More

Normally these are boring with windows and people tiptoeing to the altar. We went at midday, it was empty and each stained glass window tells a story about Mother Teresa and her life and where she came from and how she progressed through her life....More

Main religious site in a city with a huge muslim majority. The catholic church is also a statemant of albanian national identity - just look the pews and the colourful windows. In the cellar, there is a sort of cultural centre where you can have...More

Across the road from Christ the saviour Cathedral is the Mother Theresa Cathedral (in fact, most tourist sites are located within about a mile radius). It is the largest church in Kosovo and is quite impressive. Renovations and building work continues and it is sometimes...More

Near the national library, you can find this new cathedral named after Mother Theresa. The style is in line with the values of Mother Theresa, very sober. In the clock tower, there's an elevator that brings you to just under the bells. Up there, you...More
