This is a great area to take a stroll in. There's a little bit of everything here... cute shops, restaurants, coffee shops, historical sites, souvenir shops... and at night is like Dante's Inferno... especially late night. We walk through a narrow alley where the music...More

This is a lovely area to walk around and take in the architecture of a very old city and the history. Lovely shops and restaurants.

We had a guided walking tour round the area which was excellent so we knew a bit of history. We had several nights down the town and it was lovely at night all lit up with lots of bars.

It is the best restaurated quarter in Bukarest. Pretty fancy, pretty nice. What nobody tells you: in the 1940s thousands of Jews were killed there by Romanian Nazis... Still nice but keep that in mind.

Several stores and restaurants in this area. Very busy in the evening, in the summer time. Some places seem of better quality and safer than others should you decide to eat in this area. A lot of seedy clubs, as well. Overall, an area to...More

Uninspiring street where the bars and restaurants are in the old town. Totally average and untidy. I expected better.

We've just stayed in Grand Pier hotel, about a ten minute walk from old town but nice and reasonably cheap.
