Not just a wonderful outing and back, but an intriguing journey around a notable piece of American history at your own speed.

The park is enormous and diverse, with many different things to see (lakes, waterfalls, volcanos). You could easily spend a week there. Excellent tourist facilities. We loved our half day excursion up Osorno volcano, and the boat ride across Lago Todos Los Santos; and we...More

Stopped here on a tour from our cruise ship. Enjoyed Petrohue Rapids, Todos los Santos, and the scenery. Unfortunately there were low clouds so we could not see the Osorno volcano.

Go early for less crowds or later for less clouds. Good walking trail and watch for the wildlife. Go the the furthest point and work your way back.

The area of the National park is a volcanic area with Petrohue falls within the park. The walkways are mostly flat with a number of hiking trails. The falls are not very high but are a nice site with very blue snow water run off...More

We went up to the ski area and hiked for an hour. It was beautiful. At one point, the wind came up and temperature dropped...a lot. We then went half way down and hiked 6 kms through temperate rain and scrub forests. It was great....More

Pretty park with beautiful lake and fun hiking trails. We did part of Desolation Pass but we started late and turned around about halfway due to the heat. Even half of the hike was still lovely!

I would still go hike in Saltos de Petrohue, just don't try to walk all the routes, you can easily turn back when you decide you would like to. Enjoy!
