I came here excited to do some souvenir shopping, being tired of the craze in the Ladies Market. But there’s something to be said for competition. All the stores are priced the same, so it’s probably a waste of time trying to compare shops. It’s...More

Cat St is a street market, lined with antique and bric-a-brac shops and stalls. It is worth visiting if you combine it with a trip to the Man Mo Temple. It is not a must-see on its own but the Man Mo Temple is definitely...More

I happened across this market by chance, on my way to the Man Mo Temple in Central (I believe the market itself is in Sheung Wan, just at the limit between the two neighborhoods). You won't find the most high quality items here, and the...More

I stopped by here after visiting Man Mo Temple. I was staying in the area so this was about a 10 minute walk from my hotel. Now, I know nothing about antiques but it was a good place to grab a few souvenirs. From what...More

After paying too much at the Jade Market, it was refreshing to come across this Jade store on Cat street. The owner was friendly, enthusiastic and knowledgeable about his merchandise. He was also not pushy but simply wanted to share his passion for antique Jade....More

Had been recommended to visit, but found it very disappointing. Busy street filled with antique shops and stalls, but all seemed to have the same selection of goods.

I think anyone that is accustomed to searching out antiques gradually learns to lower their expectations. For decades now so-called antiques have been diluted by all kinds of contemporary junk, including glass, poster images, and not very old things. Additionally, sometimes the antique steam maybe...More

Only a small street or area, with shops and outside market style stalls , You need to haggle as prices can be a bit high. A very interesting visit

Cat Street Market is interesting for those who want to buy something from the Old China, including pictures of Mao Tse Tung, cups, his little red book and much more. It is really worth spending 30 minutes here looking at all the old things from...More

Several shops and street stalls selling all sorts of stuff - but still overpriced for what’s on offer. Not that much choice of real vintage/antique stuff - I’d recommend sticking to picking up oriental antiques from UK shops and auctions.
