The Imperial Garden is a relaxing and serene setting located within the Forbidden City’s walls. Back in the day, only the Emperor and his court were allowed to relax in this garden. There’s a magnificent pavilion located within the garden as well as a variety of sacred rocks.

After visiting the Forbidden City this should be your next stop. It is set in a beautiful garden that has a long history. The garden is beautifully laid out and has many sections to it. It is a treat to climb to the top of the hill and have a view of the entire Forbidden City.

It was a beautiful Chinese-styled garden. Smaller than what I expected, but it’s a very nice place to stroll and relax in (if you can ignore the crowd).

This is inside the Forbidden City and a beautiful tranquil area (despite the crowds). I enjoyed walking in amongst the rock formations, lovely cool spots to sit and rest out of the the searing heat
