The Murumbi gallery, on the ground floor, holds a small but very significant ethnographic collection from various parts of Africa. The presentation itself is quite charming -- if slightly old school -- but that added somewhat to the charm of the place. Highly recommended!

I recommend the ethnographic exhibition at the National Archives, it is varied and well presented and I had a well informed guide to take me through.

The largest private collect ion of African art, collected by Josef Murumbi and sold to the goverment of Kenya. The exhibition is not huge, but with the big verity it is a good place to visit for 2 h.

The building itself is of the highest standard, and a great example of early 20th century British colonial architecture. You will need to pay a fee to enter. Unfortunately the collection for the museum is somewhat small, and not unlike that you'd find at Nairobi...More
