At each Philae Sound and Light show, the Egyptian gods and goddesses are, like Osiris, resurrected before our eyes to tell us their life stories. What would Isis say today if she learned that her temple was allowed to sit in water for many years...more

We came on the night that the President of Egypt had hosted a party that day. There was scaffolding still left in the center that blocked the finale of the show. The beginning and middle of the show was very impressive but the climax in...More

The Pyramids. Karnak. They both have light shows, and both were decent. The one at Philae made the hair on my arms stand up. Some of the narration is a bit cheesy, but walking inside the temple while it’s illuminated is an experience I won’t...More

We went to the Sound and Light show as the last thing we did in Egypt and it really rounded everything off beautifully for us. It was very chaotic getting tickets and getting to the island and the Show started 25 minutes late! But it...More

It was my first light and sound show and I thought it was very good. The story was great and I like the theatrics. It's not for those who are not comfortable in uneven terrain, however, it was worth the experience. I recommend it!

If you have time, it worth the show! High sound and illumination, explaining the history about the believes in the temple! It worth the money!!

The light and sound show tells a story of the temples and their history. It is well done, if not spectacular.

Seeing Philae by night was so cool. Lots of opportunity for great photos. The temple is beautiful and easy to get to. A highlight of Aswan.

Even though we had visited the ruins during the day, it was great to see it at night too, with the history and story piped through speakers, transporting one back to that era. My tip would be to wear layers of warm clothes in the...More

I attended the Sound & Light show at the Philae temple with a group of about 20. Nearly all in my group really liked it. But I was a little disappointed. As you listen to a recorded narration (audio) in the form of a play...More

I would say that it would be extremely difficult for a wheelchair user, as there are many steps and a lot of uneven ground to go over.
