This has to be one of the best stone carvings I have seen and so life like, It's a pity its not stood up, it would show the large size of this statue, well worth a look whilst your in the museum.

Seeing something of this age so preserved because it was face down in mud is crazy. It was also much bigger than I expected. Very cool!

Well-maintained and clean, guides very helpful and not at all pushy. Little stall holders rather drab and many closed. Could do with a refreshment kiosk with seats so people would stay longer.

This statue is at Sakkara and it is enormous, even when it is laying down. Check out the detail in the carving, and it is all carved from one piece of stone - AMAZING!!

The statue is in Memphis just outside Cairo. It’s in its original area where first discovered. The built a museum around it and you can walk around it or go up on the balcony and view it from above.
