It is somewhat dependent on the quality of your guide, but it’s worth it no matter what. 16,000 soldiers fought and died here and their story needs to be told.

Worth a visit from Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City). About 2 hours by bus from Saigon. We had a good guide from Vine Travel near Bui Vien Street.

Shows ingenuity of the local people. Was impressed by the intelligence and tenacity in times of strife. Very informative guide who also brought light-hearted moments to an excursion which can be somber.

Real highlight of the Vietnam trip. There are two locations of the cu chi tunnels....I chose the one at Binh Dinh, but both locations offer similar experiences. I went in summer and the temperature down in the tunnels must've been 40 degrees Celsius…..with 100% humidity....More

Beware! Theres two separate sites both named loosely as the 'Cu Chi Tunnels' and confused by visitors. The 'proper site' is here at Ben Dinh, some way out of town, but many people (including me alas) left reviews for the other site which is titled...More

Fantastic network of tunnels and rooms, also collections of rifles, shells and even an M41 tank! The display of traps are particularly gruesome. Price of rounds on the firing range is the only downside. USD$28 for 10 rounds!

You can enter parts of the tunnels used by guerrilla fighters and see some of their creative traps and other war survival tools. The tunnels baffled American and French armies.
