Since many year as a frequent visitor we observe a quiet decline. For one time guest surelly it has its ambiente. When we were there many shops were closed and some vendors could habe been more polite. Staying next time in Chiang Mai it will not be our first destination
It’s a real rabbit warren once you start exploring and still plenty of bargains once you have sorted through the tat, plenty of good eateries as well, good fun.
Fun place to go, lots going on and to buy. You will need a few hours, go and eat in the square where they play music and you can also get a massage
We visited Phuket, bangkok and chiang mai and some of the best prices we got was here.m chiang mai generally is cheaper in my opinion..
Located at the top Loy kroh rd. Many stalls of clothes. Phone accessories. Sunglasses , hats etx. Many restaurants around as well. Prices can be haggled. Can get very busy
