The Medersa el-Bouanania is somewhere in the Fez Medina which features restored woodwork and carvings. A quiet place to visit in a bustling medina.

Absolutely beautiful piece of Moroccan architecture and an important piece of history. We stayed around here for longer than you'd expect, especially given that it was the only area we were allowed in at the time. I'm unsure if you're actually able to explore further...More

An amazing place to visit when in Fes. We went on our organised tour and had a guide with us which helped as visiting the place without someone to share the history may loose the value on one. That being said, the beauty of the...More

The details were terrific on the wood carvings and plaster. The guide had some interesting beliefs on the counting system but still gave us lots of good information on the history. I'd definitely keep this school on the list of places to visit.

The Bou Inania Medersa is a beautiful place to visit! It is easy to find off the busy Talaa Seghira and once you step in, it is like a whole another world. It is a true masterpiece!

We entered this beautiful Madrasa with our guide and that was so educational, so much more interesting learning about the history, etc. If I did not have a guide here, I would have only been able to simply absorb and fill my senses with the...More

The Bou Inania Medersa is a former school complex complete with a mosque, residences and classrooms. It is one of the few Islamic structures open to tourists. The workmanship of time, wood and plaster carving is very oriental and ornate.

Here you return to the 14th century back to the era of the Almareni. Wonderful look at, this year's oriental architecture with all its splendor of decorations and inscriptions.Unfortunately we could visit the Inner courtyard and the empty once rooms where the students stayed.

While checking the timing for the places there was no indication that they close on Christmas day.
