The snorkeling was amazing. I recommend going out far (visibility is much better), and swimming in a channel as far as you can. Little sand channels will spread in the middle of the reef, and they're good for when you're trying to get out and...More

We came across Olowalu Beach when driving around Maui and pulled in to have a look. It is a sand parking lot and we were concerned that our vehicle may get stuck. When we got out of the car we noticed an unpleasant smell of...More

Our ship captain recommend this beach for some local snorkeling. You pull off the road to snorkel so need your own equipment; there are no facilities here. Be careful when you park not to get stuck in the sand - we had a jeep and...More

This spot was recommended to us by The Snorkel Store and it did not disappoint. We snorkeled here three times and each time was fantastic. LOTS of fish to see, turtles present, really cool reefs to explore and there are not that many people here....More

Our Gypsy Guide said to stop here and some reviews said it was good snorkeling so we decided to stop here after having some pie at Leoda's. There really isn't any official parking spots except off the road on the sand and there are no...More

Went snorkeling at the reefs in Olowalu today. Had an awesome time. You need to find an open area to swim out a bit, maybe 100 ft, but then the fish are more plentiful and the reefs are like underwater statues. There are passages through...More

Found this with the help of Gypsy guide app which I highly recommend but it was just so so the day that we were there. There are plenty of locations around the island that are equally as good if you are not on this side...More

It is so sad, here you can see what humans can do! The reef is approximatly to 99.9 percent dead! Only the dead skeletons are still there sometimes with very small pieces of living polyps.
