I came expecting a tourist trap. Discovered one of the most beautiful places I’ve seen and felt in Greece. Stay inside the castle. It changes the entire experience. Go swim in the sea at sunrise and swim out to see the fortress from the water....More

Well worth the 4-hour round trip. We parked in the large free car park on the mainland near the start of the causeway (bridge) and walked to the town, around 20 mins. You can park on the road but it gets very busy (tip -...More

It’s a place worth the visit with very nice roads, restaurants and shops with local products. The architecture and the sea view is something unique in Peloponese! A place that we want to visit again and again..

There's so much to see and do inside the walls of this magnificent historical structure. Shops, cafés, restaurants, ancient sites. A must place to visit. Minimum 2 days ♥

Easy walk over the old town to see such a nice piece of history. Hire a guide or read before visiting.

This is a magnificent place. The fortress overlooking the sea. A city within those walls... good to know that this isn’t a place to have a stroller. If you have a very young baby make sure to have a strap on baby carrier. This isn’t...More

Beautiful spot to visit, picturesque streets, bars and views of course. Better to visit in the morning and have a breakfast in one of the beautiful restaurant or cafe.

A fairytale-like castle standing strong upon the stone with the feeling of a movie. It's not accessible at all for a wheelchair with the stone streets, but worth the ride, even for a few meters.

Hi Amit, The Castle (top of the mountain) is closed at 15.00 (winter time), summer time is usually longer. I think you can make it. But why to rush? You can go there in morning as we did and enjoy the beautiful reflection... More
