Frankly speaking this castle is need some additional reconstruction (like defense wall in Riga) but anyway it looks nice and its possible to have fun here

A lovely park to walk around and with the Castle in the grounds. The exhibits in the grounds reflect the sad symbolism of the awful age under the Soviets

No separate fee, and there is atleast hundred steps to the top and stairs are really tidy.

Train from Riga to Sigulda. Bus from there to castle. Return the same way. Very cheap and easy.
