The hill provides a great view of the whole city, the climb up can be tedious so consider taking the bus up if you don't want to make the walk. Definitely worth the visit for the views.

Gellert Hill provided a range of different views looking down on the River Danube and the Chain Bridge. It was worth walking up from the parking area to the top as different views kept unfurling. The stalls offered some food choices and tourist souvenirs.

It offers wonderful views over the river Danube towards the pest side of the city. But then again so does Fishermans Bastion and Buda Castle which are in close proximity to each other.

Yes it's a great view but that's all. You can get Ye same view with heaps of other things to see from Fishermans Bastion. If you have limited time go to The Bastion.

Absolutely breathtaking view to the city especially at night. Parking is challenging so a taxi or a tour bus is a better choice than driving up your own car.

We passed the Liberty Bridge on foot and climbed the Gellert hill. The view is good but not like from Buddha Castle. In total we walked too much and spent too much time on Gellert hill.

We love this hill. Has been our favourite weekend pass time for its super views of the city and sights along the Danube. Few minutes trek gets you there. Mornings and evenings are the best times.

Not sure on the fee but there must be a way to drive up because as I came over the hill (huffing and puffing while dripping in sweat) there were people who were just casually strolling around that hadn’t broken a sweat. Ask... More
