Fittingly on the route from the Statue of Liberty on the Gellert Mountain. Again view of the city and water, and the architecture is beyond beautiful - we took the "free" ride, and did not pay for anything and still had an amazing experience.

Bit like a fantasy castle and always busy but a must visit venue if only for the view,have to pay extra if you wish to go up the tower but it's not needed

This is just a breathtaking building. It's marvellous and has a astounding history to support it. It's highly recommended. Quick tip: Try to visit in odd or early hours to skip huge queues of tourists.

Not worth the money to go a few feet higher. Go into the church and the enjoy the history there. Of you want the view pay to go up the tower!

We took the Funicular up... Shorter lines, less crowds & tour groups, after about 2-3 pm. Still enough daylight hours in the day to see it all, great evening views. Wonderful strolling, views as lighting changes, city lights... More
