It is an intensely circulated bridge being used by pedestrians, cars and trams. I used it to gain access to Margit Island, and after about 3 hours, I returned to Pest on the Arpad Bridge. In Budapest there are 9 bridges over the Danube and...More

It looks quite similar to the Charles bridge in Prague and the arches below in the night make it look beautiful.. Can be seen from the funicular.

Margaret Bridge connects Buda to Pest and to Margaret Island. Unusual "Y" shape to allow the 3 point connection. Like all the bridges in Budapest, it was destroyed in WW II.

This bridge isn't particularly beautiful nor interesting, but it serves one main purpose - it connects the beautiful Margareth's island to Buda and Pest.

ah, a unique T-shaped bridge. The side part leads onto Margaret Island. A good bridge for photo taking. Not as busy as some of the other bridges. We walked all the way from the market to this.

I walked over the Margaret (Margit) Bridge several times during my trip in Budapest. I found getting there before sunrise time provided better opportunities for photography. Unfortunately, the parliament building is no longer lit after midnight, but if you walk towards the Buda side and...More
