The Cathedral of St. Nicholas is a landmark building in Ljubljana. The green dome and the classical twin towers can direct you to the Cyril Methodius Square on the right bank of Ljubljanica River, in the heart of the Old City. On the same spot,...More

We were very disappointed we were NOT able to see the church. It is locked unless there is a service. We were there while they were serving Mass however they did not allow visitors, which i agree. When mass was over there was a CHARGE...More

Well worth going in when you visit the city. I would even suggest it is a must see. Set in the heart of the old area the doors themselves are worth it just to see the work that has gone into making them.

Beautiful baroque church that would be worth a visit if it was more welcoming. Paying a token for entering the church would be fine if it were not strictly enforced such as to discourage anyone wanting to visit a place of worship. Attending Sunday Mass...More

The sign on the door said it all. "No entry for tourists" hardly welcoming. The sign indicated the times tourists can visit. After 11am I believe. And then they want tourists to pay a fee? On my trip I visited magnificent churches in Prague and...More

This is a must see in Ljubljana. The cathedral does not impress from the outside but it’s really beautiful inside. Recommend it.

Slightly askew from the ever famous meeting point of Ljubliana, this cathedral is a must see for its architecture.

This is a splendid and ornate Baroque building of 1700, though on earlier foundations. The exterior has a fine green dome and the interior is highly decorated.

It is definitely a nice cathedral but not unique compared to other cathedrals in Europe. In 5 minutes you have seen it all. The downside is that you even have to pay to enter. Unimaginable if you know that the church is the most rich...More

I don't think so. I visited the church during service so we had to stand behind a glass wall. When the church is not in use for service I guess you can move around inside. Take a look at the fantastic, metal door. The nose... More
