I would highly recommend a tour of Terezin with Pavel Batel. I am still surprised how few people talk about Terezin when they are discussing Jewish camps during WWII. More people need to visit and learn about this (and each) camp. None are too small...More

I joined the tour to Terezin led by Mr Pavel Batel on 15 July 2019. The tour was as much illuminating as it was unsettling. As a research and author, he has been digging up the truth about the site, such as the heroic acts...More

Pavel illuminated history in a way no other tour guide could. It was an emotional and educational experience. Everyone should take this tour.

Not far from Prague this Memorial was worth seeing. Seeing the pictures, drawings, the camp itself...wow...the horrors of war...

We learned a lot on our guided tour of this concentration camp where Jewish citizens were sent prior to being transported to the extermination camps. It's shocking to see the spaces where people were detained. I can't remember our guide's name (he's been a guide...More

Pavel is not just a tour guide, he is a historian. That’s why he is not only guiding us during the tour, but telling us stories about Terezin beyond what have mentioned in the books and exhibitions. I attend a class in the university called...More

We parked in the pay parking lot by the small fortress. We took the free guided english tour which explained what the buildings were used for and what life was like in the camp. There are almost no panels so if you don’t take the...More

Thank you for your visit. Our goal is as many our visitors as possible to be guided by one of our guides. No panel can replace it. Thank you.

My family of four - including two teens (18, 16) - spent a full day at Terezin with our guide Pavel Batel. He did a masterful job of un pealing Terezin through visits to roughly 12 spots within the sprawling fortress. His talks were informed...More

Walking around by myself was a thoughtful experience. You can walk inside the various blocks where the Gestapo held Jews and partisans. Theres a couple of recently refurbished museums with lots of information.

As others have mentioned, Terezin is a sprawling site and there are few markers at the actual site. Pavel brought this site to life for us. We spent an amazing and emotional day learning about the site and its history, and we definitely saw/learned things...More
