The cathedral happened to be free the day we visited. While the inside of the cathedral is not as elaborate as others we viewed during our trip, it had good panels explaining the art work (and the restoration process) and the building. One of the...More

Having stayed in Kutna Hora we visited this beautiful Cathedral. Magnificent! Started to build in the 12th century for Cistercian monks. It has been rebuilt several times throughout the centuries. Beautifully restored for its former glory. Visitors can explore it on their own space. A...More

We were lucky, as the entry was free on the day we went. I definitely wouldnt spend money to go in. Its a huge one though. Some really nice art pieces as well.

After visiting St. Vitus cathedral in Prague, this place didn't impress me as much, but it still has a lot to offer. Biggest points of interest: baroque paintings and chapels in the back and naves of the church, ornate relic boxes of two saints displaying...More

The church interior has the early Gothic colonnades and vaults going for it. The collection of art and religious artifacts (with the fully-size relics of 2 early Roman saints on display!) was rather somber and somewhat awkward. The exterior is also a pretty sober example...More
