A nice casual walk around the Government offices and enjoy the gardens as they are well kept and well maintained

This park is truly beautiful with the fully-grown and manicured landscaping. Right next to the CBD the gardens provide an oasis and a getaway.

I\We were amazed at the size and variety in these gardens - lakes, statues, plants, etc so close to the city.

These gardens have a lot to offer. We are blessed to live in a city that values green space. In the gardens you’ll find seats, fountains. Wasted taps, beautiful grass, awesome trees (someone has great foresight) and access to both the City and the MCG....More

I walked through these gardens every morning of the MCG Boxing Day Test. The highlight is the beautiful JFK memorial garden with fountain. There are lots of shady old trees & pathways.

The old trees gave their shade and the walk along the avenues was pleasant. To me the Wood Ducks (and one pacific Black Duck) were a highlight, with many teenage ducks wandering around on the lawns.

It is likely that it is a Flame Tree - however it would be easier to identify with a picture.
