the gorge is stunning, the rocks amazing colours and the little restaurant on the right just after you turn into it is well worth a stop. The monastery is beautifully situated

You have to pass through this gorge getting to the monastery, and it is quite impressive. Very narrow at some places with steep, vertical sides, then it widens again and you can see all the caves in the mountain side.

SOme of the best scenery we saw in Armenia. Good road between the cliffs, all the way to the monastery.

This is a fantastically beautiful gorge. We made lots of photo stops. Very well worth a visit even without the monastery.

just the quote says it all.... May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing view. May your mountains rise into and above the clouds....

Must to visit place in Armenia. Breathtaking views. When we return, it was raining heavily. Check the weather before you leave Yerevan.

massive canyon in all its glory.. the drive to the Noravank is truly breathtaking with the towering canyon walls on both sides of the road, sometimes leaning too close to touch the ceiling of the buses passing by.. dotted with intriguing caves, you feel transported...More
