You can't drive the Pacific Highway and not stop at Bixby Bridge, it's the most iconic bridge in Big Sur. You'll know when you arrive because of the hoarded of people and cars dotted around the roadside. Thankfully the area is big enough to get...More

Get there at an early or late part of the day. You will avoid crowds, and have better views of the bridge in the morning and evening light. Heading south, pull off on the right side, Ample room and enjoy the view. Cross the street...More

A Historic Bridge that is Iconic to the Big Sir Highway . Was built in 1934 and amazing for the period. Check the building pictures out at the Big Sir River Inn.

Loved stopping here to take pics!! Amazing views! Beautiful bridge. Love that it is opening in Big Little Lies. Very crowded. So may have to park further! Great drive from San Francisco down coast!

Stopped as most people do. It is a nice view, but overcrowded to get a picture of a bridge. Be carefull crossing the road.

Unique combination of the technical monument and wild nature of the Big Sur. Definitely worth of the visit.

If you are a fan of the series BIG LITTLE LIES, you should give a visit to this bridge! Nice view! It’s always crowded and there are lots of people who want to take a picture! So try to find the best spot;)

Vaunted as the Great bridge on PCH but falls way short of eg Seacliff bridge south of Sydney NSW - great engineering but poor in comparison

So headed to take the must do shot of Bixby Bridge- what a disappointment. Road works meant unable to stop. The bridge is much smaller than I thought. The views were very good. However there are so many good views on the road

Yes, no problem, no extra miles. On the other side of the bridge there's a pull in to park up, or turn around. Enjoy the ride.

Highway 1 is completely open now. No matter the direction you drive from you can access the bridge and all of Big Sur.
